Hi Alex,

Not really any plans for software at the moment, but I have been writing some web apps that specifically target the iPhone, or at least provide a different experience for the device.

That said, there have been a couple of interesting happenings in the the iPhone space that might make me reconsider. Not a bad idea for a full blog post actually... watch this space!

I also have crept over to the darkside. So far, so good. Any plans to start developing for the iPhone?

Re: Silent switch on Nokias.

On just about every nokia (including the E71) you can just hold down # for silent/normal modes. And * for Bluetooth on/off.

Huh, proximity switch. I knew there was a reason I should have looked up how stuff works.

My point stands. It's smart.

It's a proximity switch - not the accelerometer that detects the fact that its against your face.

Well on behalf of fanbois everywhere let me welcome you to the rightthink side of the world.

That said I have to add:

*) It GPS tags photos you take; which is really useful for when your trying to remember all the places you were on holidays. Take a photo and it remembers.

*) Wolf3d works amazingly well on it :)

3.0 should be out soon and firmware updates are trivial. Hopefully it should fix most of the current outstanding annoyances I have with the phone, like no background apps or cut and paste.

Oh don't forget to disable bluetooth and wifi, they murder your battery and grab the Wordpress app, twinkle is ammusing too.

It all works better on a Mac though so you know your next step....
